Houston Walthall convicted of multiple drug crimes

On October 9, 2018, Houston Davis Walthall, was indicted for 2 counts of the distribution of heroin.  Both cases involved the controlled purchase of heroin by narcotics investigators with the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office.  Walthall was arrested on March 24, 2019, and held with no bond.


On July 16, 2019, Walthall pled guilty to one count of distribution of a controlled substance, 2nd offense and one count of distribution of a controlled substance, 3rd offense.  He was sentenced to a mandatory minimum sentence of 13 years.  He was also ordered to be of good behavior for 20 years upon his release, two years of supervised probation, and to pay restitution to the ACSO of $570.00.
